On 14th January 1967, Zakk was born in Bayonne, located in New Jersey, the U.S. He belongs to Irish ethnicity. He passed his childhood at Jackson, New Jersey. At the age of eight, he began to play with guitar, though he wasn’t serious about it. Later, at the age of 14, he took it seriously and desired to be a guitarist.
