Early Life
Peter Frampton was born in Beckenham, a town in Greater London, Kent, the U.K on 22 April 1950. His father is Owen Frampton and his mother is Peggy Frampton. His father is a teacher. At the age of seven, he showed great interest in music and took music lessons in the following year. He attended Bromley Technical High School located in Keston, London Borough of Bromley, England.
Career
Frampton started working in the Little Ravens music band when he was only twelve. In the meantime, he was introduced to Django Reinhardt, a gypsy jazz guitarist, by his father. Later, he joined the Trubeats rock music band.
Peter’s career break-through appeared when he became the lead guitarist as well as a singer of the English rock band the Herd. In that time, Teen Magazine named him The Face of 1968.
After a great session with Herd, he joined another popular English rock band Humble Pie. He released 4 studio albums and a live album while working with Humble Pie. His maiden studio album was Wind of Charge. In 1975, Peter released his fourth album Frampton which ranked #32 on U.S Chart and gained a gold certificate by RIAA.
