The early life of Moby
On 11 September 1965, Moby was born in Harlem, located in Manhattan, New York, United States. In addition, he spent his childhood in various places including, San Francisco, Darien located in Connecticut, and New York City.
Moby’s father, James Fredrick Hall, was a professor of chemistry. On the other hand, his mother, Elizabeth McBride, was a medical secretary. When Moby was only 2, his father died in a car accident due to being drunk. Thus his mother was the one to raise him. Moreover, Moby came to know about his half-brother before his mother’s death.
Moby completed high school at Darien High School in 1983. After completing high school, he started studying Philosophy at the University of Connecticut.
