Early Life
Aaron Sanchez along with his twin brother Rodrigo was born on 12 February 1976, in the city El Paso, Texas, the U.S. His mother Zarela Martinez is also a cookbook author and a restaurateur.
At an early age, Sanchez started cooking to help his mother. At that time Sanchez along with his mom prepared delicious Mexican traditional foods for his mom’s catering business.
Sanchez started professional cooking in his mom’s New-York based restaurant Café Marimba when he was only 8. Talk about education, he graduated from The Dwight School. Later, he started full-time working with Chef Prudhomme. In 1966, Sanchez further studied culinary arts at Johnson & Wales University.
Career
After taking higher studies Sanchez started working at Patria restaurant where he met Alex Garcia. Later, he along with Alex opened the Erizo Latino restaurant.
After gaining a positive review, Aaron became the executive chef at L-Ray. In 2000, Sanchez worked at Paladar restaurant which won the Times out New York’s award as the Best New Lower East Side Restaurant in 2001.
