George Stephanopoulos was born in Fall River, a city of Bristol County, Massachusetts, USA. A few years later, he shifted with his family to Cleveland and got admitted into Orange High School.
Subsequently, graduated from the University of Colombia in political science. During his university life, Stephanopoulos was capable of being selected as a member of Phi Beta Kappa as a result he got elected.
He also achieved a master’s degree in Theology from Balliol College as his father was a German Orthodox pastor so he wanted to make him a lawyer or a priest.
Career
George Stephanopoulos came to politics in the 1988 U.S. Presidential Campaign. After this, he joined Bill Clinton’s Campaign for portraying a documentary film ‘The War Room’. In 1996 when Clinton got elected again Stephanopoulos quit from Clinton’s Administration.
He wrote a book after leaving Clinton’s Administration titled All Too Human: A Political Education in 1999. This book ranked one of the best sellers on The New York Times.
In 2002 Stephanopoulos started hosting a program named This Week in ABC News. Later in 2009, he left This News.
Following that in the same year, Stephanopoulos got an opportunity from David Wastin on Good Morning America as a newscaster. Again in December 2011, he returned to This New and he is the chief anchor. This Week ranked in 3rd position in 2016-17 among all of its competitors.
