Katie was born in Arlington, a county in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the U.S, on 7th January 1957. Her parents are John Martin Couric and Elinor Tullie. Her mother was Jewish where her father belongs to French ethnicity. Her sister, Emily Couric, is a senator of the Virginia Democratic State.
